CSM Resiţa's Ferdinand Pandrea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save CSM Resiţa from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, CSM Resiţa's Gică Rotariu got a free kick in the 6th minute. Ferdinand Pandrea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emil Butuc in the 10th minute. Francisc Dragota's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dacian Romulus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Francisc Dragota recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabriel Titulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dacian Romulus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisc Dragota in the 18th minute of play. Vali Şerb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ferdinand Pandrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelu Iorgulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Äç.Jökërül 89's Leonard Gănescu got a free kick in the 24th minute. When Tiberiu Stoicu fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Äç.Jökërül 89's protests and gave Tiberiu Stoicu a yellow card for diving instead. Tiberiu Stoicu hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After having played for 26 minutes, Dorel Buhoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSM Resiţa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorel Buhoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gelu Iorgulescu charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gelu Iorgulescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Äç.Jökërül 89 getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Gelu Iorgulescu hit a great ball. After 31 minutes of play, CSM Resiţa's Francisc Dragota made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dacian Romulus was left in no man's land by his defense there! Francisc Dragota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dacian Romulus having to interfere. CSM Resiţa's Francisc Dragota got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernest Mavrodin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Dacian Romulus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Leonard Gănescu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of CSM Resiţa's Ferdinand Pandrea. Ferdinand Pandrea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisc Dragota to make the kick off. Francisc Dragota struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Dacian Romulus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSM Resiţa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernest Mavrodin in the 57th minute of play forced Äç.Jökërül 89's goalkeeper Dacian Romulus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Francisc Dragota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dacian Romulus made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Francisc Dragota sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Gabriel Titulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. CSM Resiţa's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Titulescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dacian Romulus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Äç.Jökërül 89's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ernest Mavrodin 79 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. 83 minutes into the match, CSM Resiţa's Ernest Mavrodin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dacian Romulus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 85th match minute, Äç.Jökërül 89 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciprian Geamănu to maneuver through the defense. Leonard Gănescu hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Äç.Jökërül 89's Dacian Romulus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Äç.Jökërül 89 from getting a goal against them. In the 93rd minute Gelu Iorgulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Pandrea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Gabriel Titulescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dacian Romulus. The goal made the score 1-3. The Äç.Jökërül 89 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CSM Resiţa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
