Andrei Bântu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigore Burdujan, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 26thth minute of the game Cristinel Buda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zabrautii SC's Vlad Ghimpu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Grigore Burdujan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrei Bântu was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. If Grigore Burdujan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee ignored Zabrautii SC's protests and gave Grigore Mumuleanu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Zabrautii SC's Grigore Mumuleanu got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 48th minute Nicolae Oroian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Bântu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

In the 52nd minute, Grigore Burdujan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 53 minutes into the match, Sarafinesti's goalkeeper Andrei Bântu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dacian Manu. When Cristinel Buda came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Sarafinesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristinel Buda couldn't finish the play.
