A sloppy throw-in by Vali Mitrofan in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Zabrautii SC's Sever Turdeanu. Horea Haidău made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grigore Burdujan in the 17th minute. After 23 minutes, Sergiu Sălcudeanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta- and the Zabrautii SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Dacian Manu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horea Haidău made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Turdeanu in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute Sever Turdeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horea Haidău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Dacian Manu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Horea Haidău, 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Vlad Ghimpu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valeriu Maniu, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta-'s Horea Haidău played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dacian Manu in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Zabrautii SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dacian Manu to maneuver through the defense. Iordache Siadbei kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 67 minutes of play, Zabrautii SC's Nicolae Oroian made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horea Haidău was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 70th minute, Nicolae Oroian made a precise shot to the right of Horea Haidău. FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Grigore Burdujan struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Horea Haidău didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zabrautii SC. In the 74th minute Nicolae Oroian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horea Haidău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Zabrautii SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. Zabrautii SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
