Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) CSM Resiţa's Ferdinand Pandrea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Carabulea in the 3rd minute of play. In the 7th minute Augustin Carabulea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Pandrea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eric Măgureanu hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Gabriel Titulescu struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Mugur Constantinescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSM Resiţa. When Eric Măgureanu came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the CSM Resiţa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Măgureanu couldn't finish the play. Francisc Dragota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Mugur Constantinescu made a huge save. After 20 minutes CSM Resiţa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Viorel Voineag who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Viorel Voineag got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ferdinand Pandrea quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ferdinand Pandrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebiu Oncescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, FC DEIS -MM-'s Paul Lunca got a free kick in the 28th minute. Augustin Carabulea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferdinand Pandrea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. After 34 played minutes FC DEIS -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Gordunescu. In the 44th match minute, FC DEIS -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebiu Oncescu to maneuver through the defense. When Gabriel Titulescu came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the CSM Resiţa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Titulescu couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisc Dragota to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Carabulea in the 51st minute of play forced CSM Resiţa's goalkeeper Ferdinand Pandrea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdinand Pandrea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusebiu Oncescu in the 52nd minute. In the 58th minute, Eusebiu Oncescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mugur Constantinescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gabriel Titulescu went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to FC DEIS -MM- getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ion Staicu hit a great ball. Eusebiu Oncescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Ferdinand Pandrea made a huge save. 75 minutes into the match, Augustin Carabulea dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ferdinand Pandrea, 1-2. FC DEIS -MM-'s Mugur Constantinescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisc Dragota in the 79th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC DEIS -MM-'s Aurelian Gârbovan got a free kick in the 80th minute. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Augustin Carabulea took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Ferdinand Pandrea to make any attempt to save it. Francisc Dragota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Mugur Constantinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, CSM Resiţa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorel Buhoiu to maneuver through the defense. CSM Resiţa were furious when Sorin Alamaru was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in CSM Resiţa fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! Ferdinand Pandrea had in the 96thth minute some difficulties stopping Augustin Carabulea's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Eusebiu Oncescu made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 98thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Ferdinand Pandrea would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC DEIS -MM- eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
