The crowd rose to their feet as Adrian Braru kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pompiliu Finteșteanu. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Ivan Roşca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pompiliu Finteșteanu came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Academia Sighet's Adrian Braru. But to his dismay, Adrian Braru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. George Domnescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Codrin Drâmba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Francisc Bunescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia Sighet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Icing the free kick. After a rather tough play, Academia Sighet's Francisc Bunescu got a free kick in the 24th minute. George Domnescu, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dragoş Timofte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the game, Mugurel Radovan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Icing's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Academia Sighet the free kick. After a rather tough play, Icing's Mugurel Radovan got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Francisc Bunescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pompiliu Finteșteanu. That made the score 3-0 in the 35 minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Academia Sighet's Dragoş Timofte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pompiliu Finteșteanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Ivan Roşca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Icing's Pompiliu Finteșteanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Icing from getting a goal against them. When Nicu Roşu fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Icing's protests and gave Nicu Roşu a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Icing got a freekick which was hit by Nicu Roşu. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for George Domnescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Icing's Mugurel Radovan got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Adrian Braru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pompiliu Finteșteanu was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Dragoş Timofte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pompiliu Finteșteanu having to interfere. After having played for 67 minutes, Mugurel Radovan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Icing's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mugurel Radovan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes in the game, Iordache Gherghescu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Codrin Drâmba having to interfere. Pompiliu Finteșteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petrică Timofte in the 72nd minute of play. Pompiliu Finteșteanu came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Academia Sighet's Ivan Roşca. But to his dismay, Ivan Roşca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. If Gică Sasu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the game, Iordache Gherghescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Icing's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Academia Sighet the free kick. After a rather tough play, Icing's Iordache Gherghescu got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Ivan Roşca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 84th minute Dragoş Timofte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Finteșteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pompiliu Finteșteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisc Bunescu in the 86th minute of play. Mugurel Radovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, George Domnescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Icing's supporters rose to their feet, but George Domnescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Codrin Drâmba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Icing's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
