Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ioan Stolniceanu started the match with the kick off. Petruț Pipirig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ioan Stolniceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Cazimir Basarab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Ştefănoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toader Hurezeanu made a great header on Avintu AC's corner, it was just that Batcari's Vlad Ştefănoiu managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 16th match minute, Avintu AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Șerban Malcoci to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Avintu AC's zone, Irinel Mincă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petruț Pipirig came out of the goal and Irinel Mincă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Batcari getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Sebastian Fărcașu hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Batcari's goalkeeper Vlad Ştefănoiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gavril Beca. Petruț Pipirig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ioan Stolniceanu in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Cristi Baba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vlad Ştefănoiu made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Ştefan Zăgănescu sent off a good shot on target. Irinel Mincă kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Gavril Beca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vlad Ştefănoiu having to interfere. Ştefan Zăgănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petruț Pipirig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioan Stolniceanu in the 33rd minute of play. Cornel Hrean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Petruț Pipirig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petruț Pipirig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cornel Hrean's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. When Batcari's Ioan Stolniceanu in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Avintu AC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Batcari booed when Avintu AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ştefan Zăgănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petruț Pipirig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioan Stolniceanu in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Constantin Stroie was the one to do the kick off. If Cornel Hrean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ioan Stolniceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Petruț Pipirig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 minutes of play, Avintu AC's Gavril Beca made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vlad Ştefănoiu was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Avintu AC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Cristi Baba hit a great ball. Vlad Ştefănoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantin Stroie, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute, Ioan Stolniceanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petruț Pipirig was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Constantin Stroie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vlad Ştefănoiu having to interfere.
