An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Boc in the 4th minute of play forced Girleasa CSM's goalkeeper Andrei Roman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Mugurel Crăcană shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Puișoru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrei Roman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Joachim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Mugurel Crăcană managed to get in a good position for a shot. Girleasa CSM's supporters rose to their feet, but Mugurel Crăcană was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dacian Puișoru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristinel Ponor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrei Roman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Girleasa CSM's Andrei Roman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Boc in the 42nd minute of play. But to his dismay, Abelardo Joachim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The wind increased when Abelardo Joachim made the kick off in the second half.
