Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ermegildo Columbo started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugurel Crăcană in the 3rd minute of play forced Fanatic FC's goalkeeper Emanuele Verdecchia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuele Verdecchia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Căliman, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Fanatic FC's goalkeeper Emanuele Verdecchia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iurie Căliman. In the 20th minute, Avram Ghițulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fanatic FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Mugurel Crăcană scored to the left of an out of position Emanuele Verdecchia, making the score, 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, Fanatic FC's goalkeeper Emanuele Verdecchia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iurie Căliman. When Venancio Oso fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fanatic FC's protests and gave Venancio Oso a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes Fanatic FC got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Oso. Iurie Căliman scored 2-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuele Verdecchia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Fanatic FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Venancio Oso hit a great ball. A hard shot 36 in the game by Cristinel Ponor from a close distance when the talented Emanuele Verdecchia managed to make a qualified save. Fanatic FC's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliodor Dobre in the 38th minute of play forced Girleasa CSM's goalkeeper Andrei Roman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristinel Ponor got free with Emanuele Verdecchia in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emanuele Verdecchia came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Girleasa CSM's Iurie Căliman. But to his dismay, Iurie Căliman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Emanuele Verdecchia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 47 minutes into the match, Fanatic FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mugurel Crăcană came free, but Emanuele Verdecchia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristinel Ponor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Fanatic FC booed when Girleasa CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristinel Ponor didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mugurel Crăcană had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuele Verdecchia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iurie Căliman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd match minute, Fanatic FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Columbo to maneuver through the defense. Fanatic FC's Emanuele Verdecchia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugurel Crăcană in the 62nd minute of play. Cristinel Ponor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuele Verdecchia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Emanuele Verdecchia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iurie Căliman went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Cristinel Ponor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuele Verdecchia having to interfere. In the 71st minute Nichifor Adam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuele Verdecchia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 minutes of play, Girleasa CSM's Iurie Căliman made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuele Verdecchia was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 77th match minute, Fanatic FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliodor Dobre to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute Cristinel Ponor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuele Verdecchia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Girleasa CSM had played much better football throughout.
