After 6 played minutes Candelele got a freekick which was hit by Călin Nasta. Girleasa CSM's attentive Nae Baicea managed to snatch the ball when Sorin Papadima made a throw-in in the 13th minute of the game. A collision led to Candelele getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Maxim Iftimescu hit a great ball. Iurie Căliman scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Petre Mironescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute, Mugurel Crăcană made a precise shot to the right of Petre Mironescu. Candelele's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 32 minutes into the match, Candelele's goal looked a bit too open when Nae Baicea came free, but Petre Mironescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrei Roman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxim Iftimescu in the 35th minute of the match. The throw-in from Narcis Opincaru in the 38th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Girleasa CSM's Mugurel Crăcană. In the 39th minute Mugurel Crăcană shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Mironescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Iurie Căliman made a precise shot to the right of Petre Mironescu. Candelele's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After the first half Girleasa CSM were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristinel Ponor to strike the kick off in the second half. Girleasa CSM's Nichifor Adam managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sorin Papadima in the 52 minute of the game. Narcis Opincaru hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nae Baicea during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maxim Iftimescu in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrei Roman saved Girleasa CSM from getting behind. In the 65thth minute of the game Maxim Iftimescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Girleasa CSM's Andrei Roman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Candelele's Petre Mironescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Candelele from getting a goal against them. Petre Mironescu was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Cristinel Ponor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristinel Ponor really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Nae Baicea was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 73rd match minute, Girleasa CSM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nae Baicea to maneuver through the defense. After 74 played minutes, Candelele's Panait Stârcea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andrei Roman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Candelele reached it. Iurie Căliman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Petre Mironescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Iurie Căliman slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 75th minute. 82 minutes into the game, Iurie Căliman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Petre Mironescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maxim Iftimescu charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maxim Iftimescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th minute, Maxim Iftimescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Candelele's goalkeeper Petre Mironescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nichifor Adam. 88 minutes into the match, Girleasa CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Maxim Iftimescu came free, but Andrei Roman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iurie Căliman in the 90th minute of play forced Candelele's goalkeeper Petre Mironescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petre Mironescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adam Ogășanu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 95 minute of play. Girleasa CSM's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
