In the 18th minute Octav Boc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gelu Armeanca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ion Zeciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Gelu Armeanca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lupii Dacici's Gelu Armeanca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octav Boc in the 23rd minute of play. Emil Bobei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gelu Armeanca having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lupii Dacici's Gigel Diaconescu got a free kick in the 27th minute. Ion Zeciu struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Gelu Armeanca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cricau. After 30 played minutes Cricau got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Brătescu. Gelu Armeanca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ion Zeciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 46th match minute, Lupii Dacici was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Lucescu to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Octav Boc to strike the kick off in the second half. Sorin Păunescu hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Cricau left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lupii Dacici.
