The corner ended in Vintilă Logofătu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lupii Dacici's Gelu Armeanca did a great save. The supporters of Hoghiz booed when Lupii Dacici was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Gherasim didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Emanuel Antohi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Lupii Dacici's Iustin Dănălache got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 18 minutes, Iustin Dănălache mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lupii Dacici and the Hoghiz players grew even worse after the yellow card. Iustin Dănălache kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Albert Răduțu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 29 minutes, Emanuel Antohi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hoghiz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Antohi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gelu Armeanca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabin Ştirbu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Antohi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gelu Armeanca having to interfere. Lupii Dacici's Gelu Armeanca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabin Ştirbu in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd play minute Sabin Ştirbu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gelu Armeanca. 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Sabin Ştirbu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gelu Armeanca. That made the score 0-2 in the 63 minute of play. In the 66th minute, Dumitru Gheondea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sorin Păunescu charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sorin Păunescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th match minute, Lupii Dacici was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sorin Păunescu to maneuver through the defense. Vintilă Logofătu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Albert Răduțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Lupii Dacici getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Gelu Joja hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Antohi in the 80th minute of play forced Lupii Dacici's goalkeeper Gelu Armeanca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute Hoghiz were awarded a corner. Vintilă Logofătu went to the cornerflag to take it. Vintilă Logofătu made a great header on Hoghiz's corner, it was just that Lupii Dacici's Gelu Armeanca managed to reach the ball for a save. Sabin Ştirbu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, Emanuel Antohi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gelu Armeanca, 0-3. In the 91st minute, Emanuel Gherasim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sabin Ştirbu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gelu Armeanca having to make a save. Hoghiz played a much better game than Lupii Dacici and deserved their victory. The Lupii Dacici players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
