A collision led to Cataleni AFC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Lucrețiu Floricel hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iacob Prisecaru during the 30th minute. If George Pitiș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

George Pitiș kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Mugur Tudorică showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dacian Săvulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 63rdth minute of the game Dacian Săvulescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cataleni AFC's Mugur Tudorică was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Cataleni AFC defense, Manole Berca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mugur Tudorică. The Cataleni AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mugur Tudorică should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Pitiș in the 77th minute of play forced Cataleni AFC's goalkeeper Mugur Tudorică to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Robert Pandele was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
