The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 29th minute, when Fc Berca's Robert Vaida after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Gheorghe Maiorescu in Cavalerii Viola's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. 32 minutes into the game, Robert Vaida cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gheorghe Maiorescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narcis Stafie got free with Gheorghe Maiorescu in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 2-1 became the score in the 46th minute when Pompiliu Crețulescu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paul Bărbat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Cavalerii Viola's zone, Robert Vaida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gheorghe Maiorescu came out of the goal and Robert Vaida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Constantin Ciorobîtcă's late challenge caught a Fc Berca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Constantin Ciorobîtcă helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th match minute, Cavalerii Viola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantin Ciorobîtcă to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the game, Fc Berca's Leontin Tâlvescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gheorghe Maiorescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Gheorghe Maiorescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. 83 minutes into the match, Fc Berca's Mihai Silvian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gheorghe Maiorescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
