With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Lovinescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Korneliusz Barna in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Oltul Slatina's goalie prevented a goal. FC Oltul Slatina's Roman Scislowicz was substituted for Mircea Chircu. Manuel Lovinescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Korneliusz Barna in the 64th minute of the match. After some careless play in the FC Oltul Slatina defense, Korneliusz Barna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Lovinescu. The FC Oltul Slatina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Lovinescu should have stopped the shot. If Roman Scislowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC Oltul Slatina's Iosif Arseni was substituted for Șerban Tilincă. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Batalionul U23 Dorobanti fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Oltul Slatina had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
