Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Cavalerii Viola's Gheorghe Maiorescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Florean in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Gabriel Florean reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gheorghe Maiorescu. The goal made the score 2-0. Cavalerii Viola's Pompiliu Crețulescu got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gheorghe Maiorescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ole-Einar Skåre in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Cavalerii Viola's goalkeeper Gheorghe Maiorescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eelco Nieuwburg. 20 minutes into the game, Nechifor Dordea recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gheorghe Maiorescu. Nechifor Dordea showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. With a little luck, Cavalerii Viola's Gheorghe Maiorescu got control of the ball when Ole-Einar Skåre tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gheorghe Maiorescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eelco Nieuwburg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Gheorghe Maiorescu managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when CLUB GALATI's Eelco Nieuwburg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 32nd minute, Eelco Nieuwburg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gheorghe Maiorescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 36th minute, Nicu Bărăian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Constantin Ciorobîtcă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Cavalerii Viola's zone, Ole-Einar Skåre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gheorghe Maiorescu came out of the goal and Ole-Einar Skåre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute Gabriel Florean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Maiorescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prosper Harnikov hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eelco Nieuwburg was the one to do the kick off. Gheorghe Maiorescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Florean in the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Gabriel Florean made a precise shot to the right of Gheorghe Maiorescu. Cavalerii Viola's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 14-0. In the 90th minute, Gabriel Florean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gheorghe Maiorescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 15-0.
