CLUB GALATI's Paul Simionescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolae Cumpan in the 6th minute of play. When Artur Walec fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Slobozia FC's protests and gave Artur Walec a yellow card for diving instead. One of Slobozia FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CLUB GALATI:s goal. In the 90th minute there was a penalty for CLUB GALATI. Eelco Nieuwburg stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ilie Marghescu. 2-0. When Prosper Harnikov fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CLUB GALATI's protests and gave Prosper Harnikov a yellow card for diving instead.
