Seating: 1838, VIP seats: 159) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aristide Maghiar got the match started through his kick off. Aristide Maghiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augustin Lovinescu during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th minute, one of Zimnicea:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zimnicea. The goalkeeper, David Turlea, was totally fooled by ⚽RAE⚽'s Lucian Buzincu, who 8 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 10 minutes into the match, Zimnicea's Teodor Unchiaşu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernest Enescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Zimnicea's goal looked a bit too open when Mădălin Gâgea came free, but David Turlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ⚽RAE⚽'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lucian Buzincu in the 13th minute. A nice corner shot did that Lucian Buzincu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this David Turlea quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 16 minutes, Alexandru Burileanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zimnicea and the ⚽RAE⚽ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Zimnicea got a freekick which was hit by Alexandru Burileanu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teodor Unchiaşu in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernest Enescu saved ⚽RAE⚽ from getting behind. After some careless play in the Zimnicea defense, Mădălin Gâgea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Turlea. The Zimnicea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Turlea should have stopped the shot. Mădălin Gâgea struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. David Turlea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ⚽RAE⚽. Alexandru Burileanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernest Enescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodor Unchiaşu, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, ⚽RAE⚽'s Horaţiu Găină got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 37th minute, Ion Pască hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iacob Nedelcea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Turlea having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Wally Irving was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zimnicea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ⚽RAE⚽ the free kick. A collision led to Zimnicea getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Teodor Unchiaşu hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Teodor Unchiaşu made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Alexandru Burileanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Enescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alexandru Burileanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandru Burileanu struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Ernest Enescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zimnicea. Costică Paulescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute, Ion Pască hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the match, Zimnicea's goal looked a bit too open when Iacob Nedelcea came free, but David Turlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in ⚽RAE⚽'s zone, Teodor Unchiaşu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernest Enescu came out of the goal and Teodor Unchiaşu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Chiru in the 69th minute of play forced ⚽RAE⚽'s goalkeeper Ernest Enescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Turlea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mădălin Gâgea in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute Alexandru Burileanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Enescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Chiru struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Ernest Enescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zimnicea. Ernest Dindelegan hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Mădălin Gâgea put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of David Turlea. With an all-out effort, Zimnicea's Ernest Enescu threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alexandru Burileanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 83 played minutes Zimnicea got a freekick which was hit by Ştefan Cobâlcescu. After a rather tough play, ⚽RAE⚽'s Lucian Buzincu got a free kick in the 85th minute. Teodor Unchiaşu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that ⚽RAE⚽ were the better team. ⚽RAE⚽'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
