Spectators: 7872 (Terracing: 6010, Seating: 1842, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pavel Alexandru started the match with the kick off. David Turlea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavel Alexandru in the 6th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Pavel Alexandru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Turlea. Zimnicea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pavel Alexandru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Mugurel Bleoancă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodor Unchiaşu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Martin Chiru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugurel Bleoancă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mugurel Bleoancă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodor Unchiaşu's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute of the match, Martin Chiru tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mugurel Bleoancă saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zimnicea's David Turlea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavel Alexandru in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Raureni Academy's Manuel Pască got a free kick in the 31st minute. Mugur Udrea's late challenge caught a Zimnicea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mugur Udrea helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Zimnicea booed when Raureni Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mugur Udrea didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Teodor Unchiaşu put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mugurel Bleoancă. During the 41st minute of the match Mugur Udrea completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mugur Udrea a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Raureni Academy:s Mugurel Bleoancă showed great skill when he stopped Martin Chiru:s penalty. Mugurel Bleoancă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodor Unchiaşu in the 46th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teodor Unchiaşu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristinel Vulpăşin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teodor Unchiaşu in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mugurel Bleoancă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. David Turlea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristinel Vulpăşin in the 58th minute of the match. Alex Rizescu kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 62 minutes, Teodor Unchiaşu made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Raureni Academy's Mugurel Bleoancă tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mugurel Bleoancă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Chiru's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After 68 played minutes Raureni Academy got a freekick which was hit by Alex Rizescu. 70 minutes into the match, Zimnicea's goal looked a bit too open when Cristinel Tomozei came free, but David Turlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Zimnicea booed when Raureni Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mircea Păun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raureni Academy's Cristinel Vulpăşin got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mugurel Bleoancă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Voineag, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zimnicea's Teodor Unchiaşu in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Raureni Academy's goalie prevented a goal. David Turlea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Tomozei in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the Zimnicea defense, Cristinel Vulpăşin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Turlea. The Zimnicea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Turlea should have stopped the shot. Liviu Panduru kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th minute Martin Chiru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugurel Bleoancă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Zimnicea's goalkeeper David Turlea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristinel Vulpăşin. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
