Fabiano Marrone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avram Râznicu in the 4th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Vaslui's Michiel Vleminx slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabiano Marrone. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Fabiano Marrone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avram Râznicu in the 11th minute of the match. After 13 minutes Rachel UFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eric Galiceanu who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Eric Galiceanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fabiano Marrone quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 16th minute Rachel UFC were awarded a corner. Narcis Băsescu went to the cornerflag to take it. Gavril Cluceru made a great header on Rachel UFC's corner, it was just that FC Vaslui's Constantin Mudura managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 18th minute, Michiel Vleminx reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabiano Marrone. The goal made the score 2-0. Rachel UFC's Fabiano Marrone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Rachel UFC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 27 minutes, Gavril Cluceru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rachel UFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavril Cluceru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelian Mineață took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Constantin Mudura. Constantin Mudura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The audience was convinced that Avram Râznicu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabiano Marrone was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 42nd minute, Rachel UFC's Cezar Barbu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cezar Barbu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rachel UFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cezar Barbu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 42nd minute, one of Rachel UFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rachel UFC. Rachel UFC's Petrică Udrescu got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petrică Udrescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, René Pontoni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rachel UFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Vaslui the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rachel UFC's René Pontoni got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The supporters of FC Vaslui booed when Rachel UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cazimir Chifu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Rachel UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Avram Râznicu came free, but Fabiano Marrone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 minutes, Niclas Hagberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rachel UFC and the FC Vaslui players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Vaslui booed when Rachel UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niclas Hagberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Vaslui's Franciszek Lerych got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Rachel UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Panait Agachi came free, but Fabiano Marrone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led FC Vaslui's Eric Galiceanu to fire away a dangerous shot which Fabiano Marrone despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Fabiano Marrone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panait Agachi in the 76th minute of play. Panait Agachi charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Panait Agachi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Vaslui's Panait Agachi got a free kick in the 87th minute. Constantin Mudura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Udrescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on FC Vaslui's corner Eric Galiceanu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fabiano Marrone quite easily take care of the ball. When Aurelian Mineață fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rachel UFC's protests and gave Aurelian Mineață a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 played minutes Rachel UFC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelian Mineață. FC Vaslui's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
