Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Roberto da Fonseca got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Juan Fertus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valentin Tudoran was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. FC Chelsea's Valentin Tudoran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Fertus in the 8th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Irinel Cernescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th minute Irinel Cernescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Tudoran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Tudoran came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by FC DINAMO Bucuresti's Roberto da Fonseca. But to his dismay, Roberto da Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 19 minutes into the match, FC Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Irinel Cernescu came free, but Valentin Tudoran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 22 minutes into the match, FC Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto da Fonseca came free, but Valentin Tudoran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Chelsea's zone, Irinel Cernescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Tudoran came out of the goal and Irinel Cernescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the FC Chelsea defense, Roberto da Fonseca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentin Tudoran. The FC Chelsea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Tudoran should have stopped the shot. After 27 played minutes FC Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Mihai Maftei. Bogdan Stelea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Poplăcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Roberto da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valentin Tudoran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto da Fonseca in the 37th minute of the match. Irinel Cernescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Tudoran having to interfere. When Roberto da Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the FC DINAMO Bucuresti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto da Fonseca couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Roberto da Fonseca sped through FC Chelsea's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Valentin Tudoran. After the first half FC DINAMO Bucuresti were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petrică Poplăcan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Chelsea's goalkeeper Valentin Tudoran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valentin Tudoran came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC DINAMO Bucuresti's Irinel Cernescu. But to his dismay, Irinel Cernescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Valentin Tudoran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Tudoran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Irinel Cernescu in the 58th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Roberto da Fonseca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Valentin Tudoran. That made the score 0-7 in the 60 minute of play. After 64 played minutes Roberto da Fonseca rounded FC Chelsea's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8. Valentin Tudoran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto da Fonseca went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. FC DINAMO Bucuresti made a substitution. Sorin Cartiș replaced Roberto da Fonseca. When FC DINAMO Bucuresti's Sorin Cartiș in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Chelsea's goalie prevented a goal. When Mihai Maftei fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Chelsea's protests and gave Mihai Maftei a yellow card for diving instead. Mihai Maftei hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Juan Fertus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Valentin Tudoran made a huge save. After 92 minutes, Juan Fertus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC DINAMO Bucuresti and the FC Chelsea players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC Chelsea's Iustin Cocoș got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC DINAMO Bucuresti played a much better game than FC Chelsea and deserved their victory. The FC Chelsea players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
