Xano Griego acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 38th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Maxim Cosoroabă. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgil Ghețea got free with Xano Griego in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute Maxim Cosoroabă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xano Griego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xano Griego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxim Cosoroabă, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Cutieru couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the game, Virgil Ghețea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Xano Griego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that Ajax Academy were the better team. Ajax Academy's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
