Haşim Tokyay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Trpimir Čaplar made a huge save. Donaris FC were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after -BZF- Chimia Buzau's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Haşim Tokyay took the corner. The corner ended in Haşim Tokyay almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Trpimir Čaplar did a great save. Trpimir Čaplar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haşim Tokyay in the 10th minute. Trpimir Čaplar made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Haşim Tokyay sent off a good shot on target. After 29 minutes, Daniel Mihăilă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -BZF- Chimia Buzau and the Donaris FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to -BZF- Chimia Buzau getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Daniel Mihăilă hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, -BZF- Chimia Buzau's goalkeeper Trpimir Čaplar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicu Dragoș. In the 32nd minute of the match Donaris FC got a corner. -BZF- Chimia Buzau's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Haşim Tokyay ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Ramirez Closa managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Trpimir Čaplar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Ceaușescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 38th minute Nicu Dragoș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trpimir Čaplar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Donaris FC booed when -BZF- Chimia Buzau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pompiliu Ghișerel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th match minute, -BZF- Chimia Buzau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Feroiu to maneuver through the defense. If Nicu Dragoș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marian Gorunescu to make the kick off. Trpimir Čaplar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramirez Closa in the 54th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marian Gorunescu got free with Gelu Vârnav in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Nechifor Gherdan was substituted for Marian Gorunescu. In the 70th match minute, -BZF- Chimia Buzau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nechifor Gherdan to maneuver through the defense. Donaris FC's Haşim Tokyay was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Trpimir Čaplar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 74 minutes of play, Donaris FC's Haşim Tokyay made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trpimir Čaplar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Trpimir Čaplar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicu Dragoș's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Haşim Tokyay hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Nechifor Gherdan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Gelu Vârnav tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristinel Elian who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Gelu Vârnav when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 85 minutes of play, Donaris FC's Florin Ceaușescu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trpimir Čaplar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Donaris FC were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after -BZF- Chimia Buzau's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Haşim Tokyay took the corner. The corner ended in Haşim Tokyay almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Trpimir Čaplar did a great save. Vachon Baeza hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Gelu Vârnav made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Elian in the 94th minute of play. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Nechifor Gherdan got a free kick in the 95th minute.
