The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marcu Cruceru who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Dumitru Oardă when he managed to save the team from getting behind. AC Milan Tigers's Codrin Barbăneagră played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Andriescu in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, U 1974's Octavian Hârtopanu got a free kick in the 37th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcu Cruceru in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dumitru Oardă saved U 1974 from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eneto Vidal to strike the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, U 1974's Codrin Barbăneagră threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Octavian Hârtopanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. AC Milan Tigers's Codrin Barbăneagră proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save AC Milan Tigers from getting a goal against them. 60 minutes into the match, AC Milan Tigers's goalkeeper Codrin Barbăneagră had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robert Andriescu. Robert Andriescu hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rdth minute of the game Marcu Cruceru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U 1974's Dumitru Oardă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 66 minutes into the match, U 1974's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Răuţă came free, but Dumitru Oardă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bogdan Sârban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. U 1974's Dorel Mateescu was substituted for Moise Dudău. After 79 minutes U 1974's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Costin Ciorobîtcă who took care of the corner kick. The corner led AC Milan Tigers's Costin Ciorobîtcă to fire away a dangerous shot which Dumitru Oardă despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Robert Andriescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costin Ciorobîtcă kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The supporters of U 1974 booed when AC Milan Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Pomuț didn't get a good kick on the ball. Many of U 1974's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. U 1974 may have spent more time on the ball, but AC Milan Tigers were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
