Spectators: 8139 (Terracing: 6105, Seating: 1872, VIP seats: 162) UFC Mahmudie's Lucian Covataru started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, UFC Mahmudie's Laurențiu Cinteză sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Leão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dedé Alves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taurino De Paula's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. If Narcis Pârlea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 minutes Rapid Dobroesti's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gelu Dragomir who took care of the corner kick. UFC Mahmudie's Gelu Dragomir was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but João Leão in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 22 minutes Rapid Dobroesti's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gelu Dragomir who took care of the corner kick. Rapid Dobroesti's João Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurențiu Cinteză in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Rapid Dobroesti booed when UFC Mahmudie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Encuțescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laurențiu Cinteză received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. João Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucian Covataru scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Leão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. João Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucian Covataru, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rapid Dobroesti's goalkeeper João Leão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led UFC Mahmudie's Gelu Dragomir to fire away a dangerous shot which João Leão despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 46 minutes into the game, UFC Mahmudie's Laurențiu Cinteză nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Leão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

The wind increased when Taurino De Paula made the kick off in the second half. Lucian Covataru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Ştefan Josan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gelu Dragomir struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. João Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UFC Mahmudie. UFC Mahmudie were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Rapid Dobroesti's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gelu Dragomir took the corner. In the 66th minute Lucian Covataru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 played minutes Rapid Dobroesti got a freekick which was hit by Petruț Ticulescu. After a defensive mix-up in Rapid Dobroesti's zone, Emil Ciuvică stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Leão came out of the goal and Emil Ciuvică tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Leão made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Sandu Alexa sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Sorin Vârjean put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of João Leão. Dedé Alves came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Rapid Dobroesti's Taurino De Paula. But to his dismay, Taurino De Paula quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. João Leão made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Sandu Alexa sent off a good shot on target. UFC Mahmudie's Dedé Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petruț Ticulescu in the 92nd minute of play.
