In the 18th minute, Mihnea Gligan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Constantin Ciolacu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taurino De Paula in the 20th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Paris Saint-Germain fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! Taurino De Paula shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Rapid Dobroesti's Zhang Yong Xiao got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daddy Doro was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the game, one of Paris Saint-Germain:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Constantin Ciolacu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codrin Urdăreanu in the 37th minute of the match. Petru Miu scored 0-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Constantin Ciolacu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute, George Rareș reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of David Rednic. The goal made the score 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Taurino De Paula stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Constantin Ciolacu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihnea Gligan, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. In the 58th minute Zhang Yong Xiao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantin Ciolacu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Rareș blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Rednic having to make a save. Constantin Ciolacu came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Rapid Dobroesti's Petruț Ticulescu. But to his dismay, Petruț Ticulescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Paris Saint-Germain's Valeriu Enache got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Rednic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valeriu Enache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Although Paris Saint-Germain had been in control for most of the match, Rapid Dobroesti still came away with the win.
