After some careless play in the Arsenal Giulesti defense, Karl-Erik Vase kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ioan Buceceanu. The Arsenal Giulesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ioan Buceceanu should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Pompiliu Spelbu sped through Arsenal Giulesti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ioan Buceceanu. Arsenal Giulesti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Pompiliu Spelbu scored to the left of an out of position Ioan Buceceanu, making the score, 4-0. Ioan Buceceanu was a little too slow when Karl-Erik Vase got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 5-0. Ioan Buceceanu was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Manole Doloman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Manole Doloman really showed his touch with that goal: 6-0. 33 minutes into the match, Arsenal Giulesti's goal looked a bit too open when Manole Doloman came free, but Ioan Buceceanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Arsenal Giulesti's Ioan Buceceanu got control of the ball when Manole Doloman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ioan Buceceanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Erik Vase, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes of play, FCSB's Pompiliu Spelbu made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl-Erik Vase recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Tudor Joja managed to get in a good position for a shot. FCSB's supporters rose to their feet, but Tudor Joja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ioan Buceceanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gică Costa made a kick off. Ioan Buceceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Erik Vase in the 53rd minute of the match. Ioan Buceceanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pompiliu Spelbu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Gică Costa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Sylwester Prusek when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 64 minutes into the match, Karl-Erik Vase had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ioan Buceceanu. Arsenal Giulesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl-Erik Vase was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. In the 76th minute, Karl-Erik Vase ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ioan Buceceanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. Eric Feteanu hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Ioan Buceceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pompiliu Spelbu in the 82nd minute of play.
