Rafo Onesti's Alexandru Cucerzan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save C.S. Rafo Onesti from getting a goal against them. In the 7th match minute, -BZF- Cele 11 Sarmale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidiu Crețu to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fondas Pantazopoulos during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fondas Pantazopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Ionuț Huștiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosalio Rescuro in the 24th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Rosalio Rescuro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ionuț Huștiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 36thth minute of the game Rosalio Rescuro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but -BZF- Cele 11 Sarmale's Ionuț Huștiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ionuț Huștiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rosalio Rescuro's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. 43 minutes into the match, C.S. Rafo Onesti's goal looked a bit too open when Horaţiu Petruescu came free, but Alexandru Cucerzan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

David Mitrea might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandru Cucerzan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Mitrea ran back to his position shaking his head. C.S. Rafo Onesti's Alexandru Cucerzan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Astafei in the 58th minute of play. Ionuț Huștiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Teişanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandru Cucerzan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horaţiu Petruescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute of the match Toader Capisizu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ionuț Huștiu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Adrian Radovan's late challenge caught a -BZF- Cele 11 Sarmale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Radovan helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes, -BZF- Cele 11 Sarmale's Cristi Apostol shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alexandru Cucerzan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in -BZF- Cele 11 Sarmale reached it. Florin Astafei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Rosalio Rescuro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ionuț Huștiu. That made the score 0-2 in the 76 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Teişanu in the 81st minute of play forced -BZF- Cele 11 Sarmale's goalkeeper Ionuț Huștiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, David Mitrea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandru Cucerzan. C.S. Rafo Onesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Mitrea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 86th match minute, -BZF- Cele 11 Sarmale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidiu Crețu to maneuver through the defense. Ionuț Huștiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fondas Pantazopoulos in the 87th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Cele 11 Sarmale's Aristide Mârza got a free kick in the 89th minute. Rosalio Rescuro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Ionuț Huștiu made a huge save. In the 91st minute, Fondas Pantazopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle went the supporters of C.S. Rafo Onesti were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant -BZF- Cele 11 Sarmale side.
