Ovidiu Dincă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacy Gonsiewski in the 18th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Ignacy Gonsiewski came free, but Ovidiu Dincă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grigore Moșanu in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olimpiu Hârlău saved Carpathian Wolves from getting behind. Grigore Moșanus short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Olimpiu Hârlău to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Carpathian Wolves's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mugur Timofte in the 27th minute. The corner led to Carpathian Wolves's Jeroen Jongsma getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 29th minute, Jeroen Jongsma made a precise shot to the right of Ovidiu Dincă. Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Eduard Ghionaru charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eduard Ghionaru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM- getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Eduard Ghionaru hit a great ball. Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-'s Ovidiu Dincă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacy Gonsiewski in the 40th minute of play. With 42 minutes on the clock, Gică Cucerzan commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 41st minute, one of Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Carpathian Wolves. Mugur Timofte stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ovidiu Dincă. 1-3. After the first half Carpathian Wolves were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Sorin Floreanu hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM- defense, Mihnea Ionițoiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ovidiu Dincă. The Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ovidiu Dincă should have stopped the shot. Ovidiu Dincă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeroen Jongsma, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignacy Gonsiewski got free with Ovidiu Dincă in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Ignacy Gonsiewski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ovidiu Dincă. That made the score 1-5 in the 63 minute of play. Anthony Bussi charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anthony Bussi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM- getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Anthony Bussi hit a great ball. Ignacy Gonsiewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Ovidiu Dincă made a huge save. Ignacy Gonsiewski in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ovidiu Dincă, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-'s Ovidiu Dincă got control of the ball when Ignacy Gonsiewski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mihnea Ionițoiu scored 1-6 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ovidiu Dincă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM- fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Carpathian Wolves were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
