In the 8thth minute of the game Silvestre Pumarejo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olympia SC Bucureşti's Mihăiţă Cumpanașu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Steaua Pildesti's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Terry Doyle in the 10th minute. FC Steaua Pildesti's Terry Doyle was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mihăiţă Cumpanașu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Pumarejo in the 16th minute of play forced Olympia SC Bucureşti's goalkeeper Mihăiţă Cumpanașu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Terry Doyle hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute of the match FC Steaua Pildesti got a corner. Olympia SC Bucureşti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Terry Doyle ran over to the corner to take the kick. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cazimir Bogătean to strike the kick off in the second half. Marian Văduvescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jatsu Odoardo in the 52nd minute of the match. After 53 minutes FC Steaua Pildesti's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Codrin Alungulesei who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Jatsu Odoardo got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-1. 53 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute of the match, Zygmunt Dunajski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mihăiţă Cumpanașu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 63rd minute, Zygmunt Dunajski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Steaua Pildesti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Mihăiţă Cumpanașu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zygmunt Dunajski, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Mihăiţă Cumpanașu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zygmunt Dunajski went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Silvestre Pumarejo managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Steaua Pildesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvestre Pumarejo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihăiţă Cumpanașu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th match minute, Olympia SC Bucureşti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manole Nicea to maneuver through the defense. Silvestre Pumarejo struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Mihăiţă Cumpanașu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Steaua Pildesti. After a rather tough play, Olympia SC Bucureşti's Virgil Oneț got a free kick in the 80th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvestre Pumarejo in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mihăiţă Cumpanașu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Zygmunt Dunajski came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the FC Steaua Pildesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zygmunt Dunajski couldn't finish the play. The supporters of FC Steaua Pildesti booed when Olympia SC Bucureşti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Alungulesei didn't get a good kick on the ball. The FC Steaua Pildesti players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
