An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Pârvan in the 3rd minute of play forced CF REALCipri's goalkeeper Viorel Mestecăneanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute of the match FC Banat Steierdorf got a corner. CF REALCipri's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dino Albertini ran over to the corner to take the kick. Viorel Mestecăneanu stood somewhat misplaced when Ionuț Baicea came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 5 minute. CF REALCipri's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ferdinand Floroiu 12 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Floroiu in the 18th minute of play forced CF REALCipri's goalkeeper Viorel Mestecăneanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viorel Mestecăneanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Pârvan in the 21st minute. Ferdinand Floroiu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Viorel Mestecăneanu 24 minutes into the match. When Ionuț Baicea fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Banat Steierdorf's protests and gave Ionuț Baicea a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, FC Banat Steierdorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionuț Baicea to maneuver through the defense. Basarab Nicolae received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Arne Võsandi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Ferdinand Floroiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viorel Mestecăneanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, CF REALCipri's goal looked a bit too open when Ionuț Baicea came free, but Viorel Mestecăneanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, FC Banat Steierdorf's Ferdinand Floroiu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. CF REALCipri's Viorel Mestecăneanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save CF REALCipri from getting a goal against them. After 46 played minutes, FC Banat Steierdorf's Dino Albertini shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Viorel Mestecăneanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Banat Steierdorf reached it. 47 minutes into the game, FC Banat Steierdorf's Ionuț Baicea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Viorel Mestecăneanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferdinand Floroiu to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, CF REALCipri's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Pârvan came free, but Viorel Mestecăneanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Rich Ricketts made a precise shot to the right of Viorel Mestecăneanu. CF REALCipri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Viorel Mestecăneanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Floroiu in the 59th minute of the match. Viorel Mestecăneanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Pârvan in the 60th minute of play. After 62 played minutes CF REALCipri got a freekick which was hit by Virgil Boieru. Vasile Luican's late challenge caught a FC Banat Steierdorf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vasile Luican helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to CF REALCipri getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Vasile Luican hit a great ball. Vasile Luican kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. When Ferdinand Floroiu came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the FC Banat Steierdorf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdinand Floroiu couldn't finish the play. After having played for 68 minutes, Ionuț Baicea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Banat Steierdorf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ionuț Baicea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Basarab Nicolae recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Doru Cristoiu fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CF REALCipri's protests and gave Doru Cristoiu a yellow card for diving instead. Doru Cristoiu hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute of the match Dino Albertini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Viorel Mestecăneanu skillfully saved the ball. 77 minutes into the match, CF REALCipri's goal looked a bit too open when Ionuț Baicea came free, but Viorel Mestecăneanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basarab Nicolae got free with Arne Võsandi in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by CF REALCipri's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dino Albertini was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Banat Steierdorf's players had a chance to rest. The corner led FC Banat Steierdorf's Dan Drâmba to fire away a dangerous shot which Viorel Mestecăneanu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Ionuț Baicea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Viorel Mestecăneanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Viorel Mestecăneanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rich Ricketts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Ionuț Baicea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Viorel Mestecăneanu. CF REALCipri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ionuț Baicea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. 93 minutes into the match, Ionuț Baicea notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of CF REALCipri's Viorel Mestecăneanu. Viorel Mestecăneanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 98th minute Rich Ricketts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viorel Mestecăneanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the FC Banat Steierdorf players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
