Dorel Barboni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Oanță having to interfere. A collision led to Patricheni getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. After 25 minutes of play, Patricheni's Lucrețiu Piersic made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mihăiţă Brumă was left in no man's land by his defense there! 29 minutes into the match, Lucrețiu Piersic had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mihăiţă Brumă. CFR Cluj's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucrețiu Piersic was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Albert Oanță made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Dorel Barboni sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, CFR Cluj's goal looked a bit too open when Moise Avădanei came free, but Mihăiţă Brumă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mihăiţă Brumă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristide Silişteanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mihăiţă Brumă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Braru in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Lucrețiu Piersic notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of CFR Cluj's Mihăiţă Brumă. Mihăiţă Brumă was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Costin Braru to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Lucrețiu Piersic could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Mihăiţă Brumă however easily saved by the left post. In the 78th minute, Costin Braru reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mihăiţă Brumă. The goal made the score 1-6. Moise Ştiubei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Albert Oanță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, CFR Cluj's goalkeeper Mihăiţă Brumă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucrețiu Piersic. Albert Oanță took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Barboni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonard Dabija received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Albert Oanță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Patricheni had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
