Spectators: 7498 (Terracing: 5998, Seating: 1480, VIP seats: 20) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Iurie Miclescu took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Iurie Miclescu could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Vintilă Tiberiu however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Rapid Bucharest's Damian Boia got a free kick in the 7th minute. Vintilă Tiberiu made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Francisc Agulescu sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 20th minute, when Rapid Bucharest's Ionel Siniştean after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Vintilă Tiberiu in MARIUS MARCOV's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Ştefan Ifrim came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by MARIUS MARCOV's Costică Tăcutu. But to his dismay, Costică Tăcutu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vintilă Tiberiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisc Agulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Iurie Miclescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rapid Bucharest's supporters rose to their feet, but Iurie Miclescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vintilă Tiberiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Vintilă Tiberiu managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Rapid Bucharest's Iurie Miclescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. MARIUS MARCOV's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Kasper Ververs scored to the left of an out of position Vintilă Tiberiu, making the score, 1-1. Iurie Miclescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Iurie Miclescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vintilă Tiberiu. The goal made the score 2-1.

MARIUS MARCOV's Vintilă Tiberiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisc Agulescu in the 51st minute of play. Ştefan Ifrim made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Aurelian Buzincu sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Rapid Bucharest getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Damian Boia hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Iurie Miclescu put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Vintilă Tiberiu. Kasper Ververs kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Vintilă Tiberiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iurie Miclescu's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iurie Miclescu in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vintilă Tiberiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vintilă Tiberiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionel Siniştean in the 69th minute of the match. Kasper Ververs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Iurie Miclescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vintilă Tiberiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Ştefan Ifrim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alkın Berksan in the 78th minute of the match. Petruț Buteanu struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Ştefan Ifrim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MARIUS MARCOV. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iurie Miclescu in the 81st minute of play forced MARIUS MARCOV's goalkeeper Vintilă Tiberiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, MARIUS MARCOV's Dorel Horhoianu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dorel Horhoianu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of MARIUS MARCOV protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dorel Horhoianu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of MARIUS MARCOV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rapid Bucharest:s goal. When Rapid Bucharest's Iurie Miclescu in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MARIUS MARCOV's goalie prevented a goal. 91 minutes into the match, MARIUS MARCOV's goal looked a bit too open when Francisc Agulescu came free, but Vintilă Tiberiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute Francisc Agulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vintilă Tiberiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Baciu charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Baciu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alex Baciu hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Vintilă Tiberiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionel Siniştean in the 98th minute of the match. Rapid Bucharest walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
