In the 8th minute Radomir Šiljak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Hârțan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Carp Team's Nicu Stroici got a free kick in the 10th minute. Carp Team's Deyan Tătăruşanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Korneliusz Kocieniewski in the 11th minute of play. A hard shot 19 in the game by Radomir Šiljak from a close distance when the talented Aron Hârțan managed to make a qualified save. FC STEAUA BRAILA's players were relieved. Aron Hârțan made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Matei Cârstea sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute of the match Carp Team got a corner. FC STEAUA BRAILA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Radomir Šiljak ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Carp Team's Radomir Šiljak to fire away a dangerous shot which Aron Hârțan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Carp Team's Vinicio Medina got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute Korneliusz Kocieniewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deyan Tătăruşanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darwin Núñez in the 37th minute of play forced Carp Team's goalkeeper Deyan Tătăruşanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, FC STEAUA BRAILA's goalkeeper Aron Hârțan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radomir Šiljak. With an all-out effort, Carp Team's Aron Hârțan threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Neil Tutorskiy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Radomir Šiljak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carp Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Radomir Šiljak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aron Hârțan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Otto Veispak's late challenge caught a FC STEAUA BRAILA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Otto Veispak helped the player get up and apologised. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Deyan Tătăruşanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nichifor Borăscu in the 52nd minute of the match. Nicu Postelnicescu kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Carp Team's goalkeeper Deyan Tătăruşanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Korneliusz Kocieniewski. 56 minutes into the game, Korneliusz Kocieniewski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Deyan Tătăruşanu. Korneliusz Kocieniewski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Aron Hârțan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomir Šiljak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deyan Tătăruşanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Korneliusz Kocieniewski in the 78th minute. Aron Hârțan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matei Cârstea went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 83rd minute, Korneliusz Kocieniewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinicio Medina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aron Hârțan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Darwin Núñez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Deyan Tătăruşanu made a huge save. In the 91st minute Radomir Šiljak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Hârțan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 minutes of play, Carp Team's Lucjan Murdza made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aron Hârțan was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC STEAUA BRAILA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
