With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horia Poplăcean prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute, Bruno Riccardi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 21 minutes, Daniel Barbosu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dinamo Soimu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Barbosu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Egil Lidman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aron Hârțan. FC STEAUA BRAILA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Egil Lidman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A collision led to FC STEAUA BRAILA getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Bruno Riccardi hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute of the match, Andrei Agulescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Horia Poplăcean saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dinamo Soimu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Andrei Agulescu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC STEAUA BRAILA's players had a chance to rest. Xanti Gatnau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xanti Gatnau was the one to do the kick off. Horia Poplăcean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Korneliusz Kocieniewski in the 60th minute of play. Aron Hârțan made an important save on a dangerous shot by August Kungla in the 63rd minute. In the 63rd minute, Dinamo Soimu's August Kungla ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aron Hârțan. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Korneliusz Kocieniewski in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horia Poplăcean saved Dinamo Soimu from getting behind. Xanti Gatnau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Hârțan having to interfere. In the 82ndth minute of the game Korneliusz Kocieniewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dinamo Soimu's Horia Poplăcean was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Dinamo Soimu's August Kungla got a free kick in the 84th minute. FC STEAUA BRAILA's Aron Hârțan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save FC STEAUA BRAILA from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute, Korneliusz Kocieniewski made a precise shot to the right of Horia Poplăcean. Dinamo Soimu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Dinamo Soimu's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
