After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Zé Paulo Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot. OTELUL GALATI's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Paulo Zanette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Deyan Tătăruşanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Carp Team's Mehmet Efe Vafi threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vinicio Medina, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 91st minute Radomir Šiljak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Efe Vafi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mehmet Efe Vafi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomir Šiljak in the 94th minute of play. Radomir Šiljak got in the 94th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Mehmet Efe Vafi handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Rareș Păstrăv hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matei Cârstea got free with Mehmet Efe Vafi in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
