Doru Opaina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrei Pușcașu in the 8th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Barcelona's Dacian Tutuianu got a free kick in the 9th minute. Bernd Van Leemputten made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aron Sandu in the 12th minute. In the 20th minute of the match Cosimo Deva got a corner. FC Barcelona's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Horia Stan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Leonard Găvan tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Doru Opaina. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horia Stan in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Barcelona's goalkeeper Doru Opaina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dan Zamfirescu kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. When Cosimo Deva's Andrei Pușcașu in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bernd Van Leemputten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dacian Tutuianu, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After 42 minutes, Dorin Pantilimon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cosimo Deva and the FC Barcelona players grew even worse after the yellow card. 41 minutes into the game, one of Cosimo Deva:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Bernd Van Leemputten, was totally fooled by FC Barcelona's Martin Buculeasa, who 43 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Andrei Pușcașu put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Doru Opaina. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aron Sandu was the one to do the kick off. FC Barcelona's Doru Opaina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Barcelona from getting a goal against them. Ernest Nistorescu hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute of the match, Andrei Pușcașu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Doru Opaina was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Martin Buculeasa charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Dacian Tutuianu scored 2-3 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernd Van Leemputten, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Doru Opaina successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Cosimo Deva's Horia Stan in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an all-out effort, Cosimo Deva's Doru Opaina threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Horia Stan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Cosimo Deva booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernest Nistorescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernd Van Leemputten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dacian Tutuianu in the 80th minute of the match. Bernd Van Leemputten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dacian Tutuianu in the 83rd minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Dacian Tutuianu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernd Van Leemputten. Cosimo Deva's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dacian Tutuianu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Dan Zamfirescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Doru Opaina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
