The audience thought a goal was coming when Darwin Núñez got free with Frederick Kallquist in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of FC STEAUA BRAILA booed when Sterpoaia CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valeriu Povară to make the kick off. In the 91st minute, Darwin Núñez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC STEAUA BRAILA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. In the 95th minute Eliodor Grigoroiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederick Kallquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valeriu Povară during the 99th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
