Spectators: 7859 (Terracing: 5895, Seating: 1807, VIP seats: 157) Sterpoaia CS's Valeriu Povară started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcu Ardelean came free with the goalkeeper in the 4th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mihai Bogdănescu could save by the left post. 6 minutes into the match, Sterpoaia CS's Valeriu Bodea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mihai Bogdănescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Victor Suluțiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergiu Gherguț, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remus Nuțu in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Suluțiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th match minute, Poli Iași was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Cămărășescu to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Valeriu Povară took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Mihai Bogdănescu to make any attempt to save it. Mihai Bogdănescu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 32nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. After 36 minutes, Iacob Turcescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sterpoaia CS and the Poli Iași players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sterpoaia CS getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. The wind increased when Remus Nuțu made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Sterpoaia CS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. Despite this Victor Suluțiu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 55th minute, Poli Iași's Horaţiu Buciuman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Victor Suluțiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remus Nuțu in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Sterpoaia CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alin Taşcu to maneuver through the defense. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sterpoaia CS.
