A collision led to OTELUL GALATI getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Filinto Candeias hit a great ball. The supporters of Cosimo Deva booed when OTELUL GALATI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Paulo Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Isac Arghirescu fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cosimo Deva's protests and gave Isac Arghirescu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cosimo Deva's Isac Arghirescu got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 20th match minute, OTELUL GALATI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nechifor Dedu to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the game, OTELUL GALATI's Alexandru Trifănucă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernd Van Leemputten made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Alexandru Trifănucă took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernd Van Leemputten. Bernd Van Leemputten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ilie Mirea made a great header on Cosimo Deva's corner, it was just that OTELUL GALATI's Mehmet Efe Vafi managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rareș Păstrăv in the 43rd minute of play forced Cosimo Deva's goalkeeper Bernd Van Leemputten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernd Van Leemputten made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Filinto Candeias sent off a good shot on target. 73 minutes into the match, OTELUL GALATI's goal looked a bit too open when Horia Stan came free, but Mehmet Efe Vafi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Horia Stan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mehmet Efe Vafi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Mehmet Efe Vafi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Stan in the 76th minute of play. Mehmet Efe Vafi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horia Stan, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. A nice corner shot did that Horia Stan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mehmet Efe Vafi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, OTELUL GALATI's Filinto Candeias got a free kick in the 83rd minute. OTELUL GALATI's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
