The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucjan Murdza in the 8th minute of play forced Forza Ocna Sugatag -MM-'s goalkeeper Sorin Slătineanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Radomir Šiljak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sorin Slătineanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Forza Ocna Sugatag -MM-'s Constantin Brezoi got a free kick in the 12th minute. With an all-out effort, Carp Team's Sorin Slătineanu threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Radomir Šiljak, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Mugurel Drăgoi came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Forza Ocna Sugatag -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mugurel Drăgoi couldn't finish the play. Sorin Slătineanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucjan Murdza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sorin Slătineanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomir Šiljak, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Carp Team's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Grga Mijatović in the 37th minute. The corner ended in Toader Valerian almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Forza Ocna Sugatag -MM-'s Sorin Slătineanu did a great save. In the 68th minute of the match Carp Team got a corner. Forza Ocna Sugatag -MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Grga Mijatović ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Carp Team's Toader Valerian to fire away a dangerous shot which Sorin Slătineanu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sorin Slătineanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomir Šiljak in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Lucjan Murdza notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Forza Ocna Sugatag -MM-'s Sorin Slătineanu. Sorin Slătineanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 76th minute, Vinicio Medina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sorin Slătineanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.
