The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mădălin Greculescu during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mădălin Greculescu hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Mihaesti's zone, Alin Baniu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Hurdubețiu came out of the goal and Alin Baniu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabian Josan hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. During the 14th minute of the match Mădălin Greculescu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mădălin Greculescu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 15th match minute, FC Mihaesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mădălin Greculescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Emilian Robu had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Nae Stratulat's late challenge caught a FC Mihaesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nae Stratulat helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes UFC Sarlotenburg got a freekick which was hit by Nae Stratulat. Nae Stratulat kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Ernest Drogoreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calistrat Gruia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 played minutes FC Mihaesti got a freekick which was hit by Calistrat Gruia. Bogdan Hurdubețiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolae Măgureanu in the 25th minute of the match. FC Mihaesti's Bogdan Hurdubețiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Baniu in the 29th minute of play. Lucian Zafiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bogdan Hurdubețiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Alin Baniu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Bogdan Hurdubețiu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Andrei Ciuvică struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Ernest Drogoreanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Mihaesti. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrei Ciuvică made a kick off. After 55 minutes of play, UFC Sarlotenburg's Alin Baniu made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bogdan Hurdubețiu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th minute, Nicolae Banu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bogdan Hurdubețiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alin Baniu in the 61st minute of the match. Bogdan Hurdubețiu came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by UFC Sarlotenburg's Nicolae Măgureanu. But to his dismay, Nicolae Măgureanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Bogdan Hurdubețiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolae Măgureanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute, Nicolae Banu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. UFC Sarlotenburg's Alin Baniu got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Alin Baniu put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bogdan Hurdubețiu. Alin Baniu took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bogdan Hurdubețiu. Bogdan Hurdubețiu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Lucian Zafiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Alin Baniu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. UFC Sarlotenburg walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
