Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iurie Remus in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gigel Bogătan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Academia Adrian's Ferdinand Curtean got a free kick in the 15th minute. Academia Adrian's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cătălin Pâslaru in the 18th minute. The supporters of Merisoru SC booed when Academia Adrian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radu Siteavu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Șerban Petre left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Merisoru SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Radu Siteavu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Radu Siteavu made a kick off. Merisoru SC's Lucrețiu Encuțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radu Siteavu in the 52nd minute of play. Gigel Bogătan made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Iurie Remus sent off a good shot on target. Academia Adrian's Leonard Ciuhandu got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Academia Adrian's Gigel Bogătan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iurie Remus in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia Adrian's goalkeeper Gigel Bogătan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Academia Adrian fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Academia Adrian's Radu Siteavu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Iurie Remus who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Gigel Bogătan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Academia Adrian's Gigel Bogătan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Adrian from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Academia Adrian booed when Merisoru SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mircea Anisie didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute of the match Eusebiu Şimoc sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gigel Bogătan skillfully saved the ball. Academia Adrian walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
