Marcu Hrib showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wictor Brovall in the 7th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Poli AEK's zone, Florian Penc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolae Ghiorman came out of the goal and Florian Penc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Poli AEK fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Poli AEK's Wictor Brovall looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to VfB Armin Satu-Mare getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Tadeusz Zdanowicz hit a great ball. After 19 played minutes VfB Armin Satu-Mare got a freekick which was hit by Sandu Țepelea. Nicolae Ghiorman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezar Bourceanu in the 25th minute of play. VfB Armin Satu-Mare's Marcu Hrib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zafer Fırat in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute Zafer Fırat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcu Hrib saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zafer Fırat in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcu Hrib saved VfB Armin Satu-Mare from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeo Berceanu during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezar Bourceanu in the 32nd minute of play forced Poli AEK's goalkeeper Nicolae Ghiorman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chen Xiao Yan made in the 45th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Chen Xiao Yan however managed to control. Poli AEK's Nicolae Ghiorman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cezar Bourceanu in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

VfB Armin Satu-Mare's Fabiano Giannetta was substituted for Cezar Bourceanu. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wictor Brovall to make the kick off. Poli AEK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 79th minute Fabiano Giannetta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolae Ghiorman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Fabiano Giannetta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicolae Ghiorman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 95 played minutes Poli AEK got a freekick which was hit by Chen Xiao Yan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Ivănescu in the 96th minute of play forced Poli AEK's goalkeeper Nicolae Ghiorman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
