Nicolae Ghiorman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petre Odobescu in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, AS Florilor - BV's goalkeeper Washington Proença had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zafer Fırat. 16 minutes into the game, Wictor Brovall lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Washington Proença. 20 minutes into the game, one of AS Florilor - BV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. AS Florilor - BV:s Washington Proença showed great skill when he stopped Zafer Fırat:s penalty. After having played for 24 minutes, Petre Odobescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AS Florilor - BV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petre Odobescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, AS Florilor - BV's goalkeeper Washington Proença had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zafer Fırat. 27 minutes into the match, Paolo Rumaldo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicolae Ghiorman. Poli AEK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paolo Rumaldo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Washington Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wictor Brovall in the 35th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zafer Fırat got free with Washington Proença in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wictor Brovall in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Washington Proença saved AS Florilor - BV from getting behind. Wictor Brovall kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, AS Florilor - BV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vydas Budrys to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wictor Brovall was the one to do the kick off. Nicolae Ghiorman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baha Emrettin in the 54th minute. If Petre Odobescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute Zafer Fırat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Romeo Berceanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Poli AEK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Petre Odobescu hit a great ball. Washington Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wictor Brovall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolae Ghiorman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paolo Rumaldo in the 87th minute. In the 92nd minute of the match AS Florilor - BV got a corner. Poli AEK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Baha Emrettin ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Paolo Rumaldo took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Nicolae Ghiorman to make any attempt to save it.
