Poli AEK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 94th minute, Viorel Iacobescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Nicolae Bosioc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolae Ghiorman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Ştoia in the 98th minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
