A nice corner shot did that William Creemers got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cosmin Iacobeanu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cosmin Iacobeanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gino Galante went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The Owls were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Rovine Craiova's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. William Creemers took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in Rovine Craiova's zone, Gino Galante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cosmin Iacobeanu came out of the goal and Gino Galante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cosmin Iacobeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gino Galante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes Rovine Craiova's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was William Creemers who took care of the corner kick. If Dănuț Lupu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 minutes, Gino Galante made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Rovine Craiova's Cosmin Iacobeanu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jan-Åke Emander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manole Frunză, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gino Galante to make the kick off. The corner ended in William Creemers almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rovine Craiova's Cosmin Iacobeanu did a great save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. The Owls walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
