In the 24th minute Ubarna Harroyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radu Jilăveanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gino Galante's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Radu Jilăveanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, The Owls's Gino Galante nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Radu Jilăveanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 29th minute Gino Galante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radu Jilăveanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radu Jilăveanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gino Galante in the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when The Owls's Gino Galante fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After some careless play in the New York Red Bulls defense, Gino Galante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radu Jilăveanu. The New York Red Bulls fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radu Jilăveanu should have stopped the shot. 38 minutes into the match, The Owls's Gino Galante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radu Jilăveanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Owls were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after New York Red Bulls's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. William Creemers took the corner. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nazım Taci stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ştefan Coporan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gino Galante took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Radu Jilăveanu. Radu Jilăveanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. 63 minutes into the game, Gino Galante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-10. Radu Jilăveanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gino Galante blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Radu Jilăveanu having to make a save. Gino Galante took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Radu Jilăveanu. Radu Jilăveanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. In the 70th minute, Marin Emilianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Gino Galante came free, but Radu Jilăveanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Encescu's late challenge caught a The Owls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Encescu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, New York Red Bulls's Emanuel Encescu got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Gino Galante managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Owls's supporters rose to their feet, but Gino Galante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Radu Jilăveanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute William Creemers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radu Jilăveanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gino Galante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 82 minutes, Gino Galante made it 0-12 with a short kick to the right side. New York Red Bulls's Radu Jilăveanu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Radu Jilăveanu came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by The Owls's Gino Galante. But to his dismay, Gino Galante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-13. Radu Jilăveanu made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Gino Galante sent off a good shot on target. After 94 minutes of play, The Owls's Gino Galante made it 0-14 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Radu Jilăveanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match was over The Owls could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than New York Red Bulls throughout the match.
