Nicodim Bunescu's late challenge caught a Rovine Craiova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicodim Bunescu helped the player get up and apologised. Nicodim Bunescu hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zheng Cheng Zheng got free with Cosmin Iacobeanu in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jiang Hong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Rovine Craiova defense, Virgil Glodeanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cosmin Iacobeanu. The Rovine Craiova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cosmin Iacobeanu should have stopped the shot. Continental Buzau played a much better game than Rovine Craiova and deserved their victory. The Rovine Craiova players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
