The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 minutes, Iacob Stoicescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arabesque -MM- and the Purcaresti CSS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Purcaresti CSS booed when Arabesque -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iacob Stoicescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Emanuel Moise was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arabesque -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Purcaresti CSS the free kick. Emanuel Moise hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Gabriel Măliță struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. David Mitu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purcaresti CSS. David Mitu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Mazăre, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Arabesque -MM-'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Iustin Radovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arabesque -MM-'s David Mitu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nistor Anton in the 23rd minute of play. In the 27th minute, Iacob Stoicescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cătălin Trică. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Anton in the 29th minute of play forced Arabesque -MM-'s goalkeeper David Mitu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Mitu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustin Radovan in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match Purcaresti CSS got a corner. Arabesque -MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Zamfirescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee ignored Arabesque -MM-'s protests and gave Olimpiu Bărbuceanu a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Arabesque -MM- fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iacob Stoicescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Cătălin Trică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Stoicescu in the 51st minute of play. In the 59th match minute, Purcaresti CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Măliță to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Purcaresti CSS getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Emanuel Șerbulea hit a great ball. If Iacob Stoicescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. After a rather tough play, Purcaresti CSS's Emanuel Șerbulea got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After 94 minutes of play, Arabesque -MM-'s Cezar Prunaru made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cătălin Trică was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Arabesque -MM- players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
