Jan Trzenzalski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Emil Gabor made a huge save. 5 minutes into the match, ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's goalkeeper Emil Gabor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorginho Queiroz. Lucrețiu Ghimiș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilian Feteanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucrețiu Ghimiș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucrețiu Ghimiș's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emilian Feteanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. After 16 minutes Politehnica Iasi's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eugen Mihălțan who took care of the corner kick. The corner led ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's Bianco Cappucci to fire away a dangerous shot which Emilian Feteanu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jorginho Queiroz hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiberiu Dulgherescu got free with Emil Gabor in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Petran in the 30th minute of play forced Politehnica Iasi's goalkeeper Emilian Feteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Lucrețiu Ghimiș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emilian Feteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinand Petran, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. With a little luck, ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's Emil Gabor got control of the ball when Anton Munteanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorginho Queiroz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Emilian Feteanu managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's Lucrețiu Ghimiș fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Politehnica Iasi's Emilian Feteanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Politehnica Iasi from getting a goal against them. Politehnica Iasi's Emilian Feteanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Helberg in the 72nd minute of play. With a little luck, Politehnica Iasi's Emilian Feteanu got control of the ball when Lucrețiu Ghimiș tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jorginho Queiroz scored 1-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emil Gabor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's Ole-Petter Korsvik was substituted for Adrián Frick. But to his dismay, Jan Trzenzalski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 89 minutes into the match, Politehnica Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Helberg came free, but Emilian Feteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Politehnica Iasi's goalkeeper Emilian Feteanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucrețiu Ghimiș. Emilian Feteanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucrețiu Ghimiș in the 93rd minute. After 94 played minutes Politehnica Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Jan Trzenzalski. When the referee ended the match the Politehnica Iasi players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
